So the crystals are in tune to aetheric energy of various elements dependent on the specific crystal, right? So based on region certain places are more attuned to certain elements. Well there is this one spot that is attuned to all of the elements at once. And in this spot there is a mystic hubbalaboo. And an avatar, master of all the elements, materializes. He (or possibly she, it's hard to tell) has existed a long time, but has only now found a portal into this plane of existence. He is the agent of chaos, the harbinger of confusion, known by many names, but answering to none.
